Quebec midget AAA hockey league extends contract with CCES

(Ottawa, Ontario – August 21, 2012) – The Ligue de développement de hockey Midget AAA du Québec extended its contract with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) to provide anti-doping education, administrative assistance and testing services to its athletes and support personnel for another year.

“We are very happy to continue our relationship with the Quebec midget AAA hockey league,” said Paul Melia, President and CEO of the CCES. “This marks the sixth consecutive year that they have placed their faith in us to provide them with an anti-doping program that is second-to-none. We appreciate their continued commitment to clean sport and hope others will follow their lead.”

“The Midget AAA League was a pioneer in the fight against doping in Canadian hockey and we are pleased to extend our work through this new agreement, in collaboration with Hockey Québec and the CCES, to benefit our hockey players,” said Gaston Therrien, President of the Midget AAA League.
