Whereabouts

Current Deadlines

Athletes in the CCES registered testing pool (RTP) have a submission deadline of June 15, 2010 for July-September 2010 whereabouts.

All winter sport athletes are now required to submit their whereabouts information through ADAMS, a web-based program which allows you to submit and update your whereabouts information from anywhere in the world at any time. Requests for exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. To request login information for ADAMS email whereabouts@cces.ca.

For more information on how to send your whereabouts to the CCES for this quarter:

To sign up for an automatic email reminding you to update your whereabouts, please email whereabouts@cces.ca with the subject line “Subscribe to reminders”.

What is the whereabouts program?
The athlete whereabouts program requires designated athletes to submit timely and accurate whereabouts information for the purpose of locating them for no-notice out-of-competition testing. Below are the details of this requirement including athletes' responsibilities and the potential consequences for failing to provide whereabouts information in a timely and accurate fashion.

How does the whereabouts program ensure that the CCES is levelling the playing field?
An effective doping control program includes a large component of intelligent testing, which must occur at the highest risk times for potential use of a performance-enhancing substance. We recognize that submitting and updating whereabouts is a big commitment – but athletes continue to tell us that they are happy to comply if it helps keep their sport clean and fair.

Do I need to submit whereabouts?
All athletes who are subject to doping control must be aware of the whereabouts rules and requirements that apply to them. These rules and requirements will vary depending on the athlete’s level of competition and will determine if, when and to which organization (CCES or an IF) an athlete must submit whereabouts information.

Please determine the athlete’s competition level and read corresponding whereabouts requirements:
