Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) promotes and coordinates the worldwide fight against doping in sport. Through this autonomous agency, the Olympic Movement and the world's public authorities have intensified their efforts to keep doping out of sport.

Some of the most recent WADA activities that CCES has consulted on and participated in include:

  • World Anti-Doping Code - As a member of the WADA Legal Committee, CCES played a key role in the structural development and content of the World Anti-Doping Code.
  • Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS)- The CCES participated on the team that set the specification for WADA's new web-based program that allows any code-compliant organization to manage its doping control program from the planning stage through to results management. The CCES was the first national anti-doping prganization in the world to use ADAMS.
  • WADA Independent Observer Teams - One of WADA’s most effective activities has been to send independent teams to major games and world championships to observe and report on doping control.  Independent observation and reporting increases athlete and public confidence in the quality of doping control.  CCES staff have been members of WADA Independent Observer teams at Olympic Games, Paralympic Games as well as regional and world championships.
