Short and longer term challenges
In order to optimize the benefits of sport to Canadian society it must be values-based and used intentionally. CCES has identified the top six threats to a positive sport experience and is committed to continuing or developing efforts to combat them:
- Doping
- Violence
- Poor parental behaviour
- Weak sport governance
- Lack of access and inclusion
- Pro sport bad behaviour’s influence on chidren, youth and adults
